So...while out the other day with Trevor (Jordan was at school and T had the 'day off' because we had an appt.. that couldn't be missed), we saw these beautiful horses. You know I had to 1) stop and chat with them and 2) take their pictures.

We we saw this old church/school. We all thought it was neat..unfortunately it was also locked so the pics of the inside were taken through the window. Still very cool. There was an old cemetery in the back.

Still weathering the storm...appreciate the continued prayers.

FALL MOUNTAINS

Our family doesn't celebrate Halloween. We don't judge those who do, it's just our beliefs as a family. Instead we usually just watch a movie or two together.

We went to buy a few groceries today and as usual when we go out I took my camera. On the way home, we took some pictures of 'my' beloved mountains which are practically 'in our back yard'. With the autumnn colors and the cloud coverage they just 'begged to be photographed'.

I thought this one, with the low laying clouds, looked almost like a volcano.

Beautiful aren't they?

SWEET: Trevor went with Stephen to the grocery store yesterday. He told Stephen he needed to go look at something for a minute and later came back with three helium balloons.

He used what little of his birthday money to buy me the balloons because he knew they'd cheer me up. He made me a get well soon/I love you card. Incredibly Sweet!

YUMMY: Beef stew--economical, easy to make, filling and good for what ails you. It was our supper Friday and lunch Sunday.

INJURED: Trevor came back in the house this afternoon telling us that there was a cat outside that only had one eye and was obviously starving. Trevor and Stephen are SEVERELY allergic to cats. So I took it out some milk. I felt really sorry for it. We don't know if it will hang around or not, but we named it Lucky.

DADDY: My daddy is finally able to get his knee replacement surgery. He'll do one knee at a time then hopefully be able to do each hip. Unfortunately, the surgery date is the 19th of November My birthday is the 20th and though we may not be able to do anything, we'd planned on having our entire family home together. So..we need to figure out our schedule. We'll be at my parents house helping out from the night of the 20th-until Thanksgiving FOR SURE. Stephen will be preaching for daddy Sunday a.m. and p.m on the 22nd and on the 24th (Wednesday service changed to Tuesday). We'll help with the animals and anything else needed. I hope we can be there for the surgery. Prayers appreciated.

DRIVE: Stephen and I decided to take a break from this raging storm (physical, mental, financial, emotion and spiritual storm) and go for a ride to view the BEAUTIFUL fall foliage. We saw this sign..anyone want to rent a church?

We shared a few pieces of chicken tenders and diet mountain dew in the car as we traveled. We drove down unknown (to us) roads and got some really great pics. We totally enjoyed the time out together...getting out without really getting out. Now back to fighting the battle at hand. Continued prayers in this area appreciated as well.

BUGS...ER...GERMS...YUCK!!!!

We all (at least the four of us at home) have 'the bug'. Found out today that Jordan and Trevor both have strep as well. They got shots today and an antibiotic. I'm on my second round of antibiotic (though my throat does look better according to the doctor) and now have added an inhaler to my 'meds'. Apparently I am 'getting' bronchitis too. Sigh. Continued prayers for healing and our Father to 'rescue us' from the 'storm' would be greatly appreciated.

We so appreciate the prayers that have already been lifted up for us to our Father.

I have been sick for a while...took an antibiotic for sinus infection (finished it on Sunday) and it helped some but then I got worse. I went back to the doctor today and found out I have strep (along with a sinus infection and laryngitis). I got a antibiotic shot and three prescriptions.

I still rode with Stephen to pick up Jonathan. I knew I'd have to stay in the car, but I enjoyed the trip and being with Stephen. We enjoyed listening to a couple of podcasts then Jonathan's music on the way home. Funny how we all have similar music taste (very eclectic too) I totally enjoy having all four of my guys home.

On a different note, isn't Georgia beautiful?
